About Us

FAPSIA is an apex body established in 1986 to work for the welfare and development of MSMEs in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Due to bifurcation of the state, the body has been re-registered under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act in 2014.

To provide professional advisory and consultancy services to the MSME sector, to bridge the gaps between policy and its implementation, to fulfil the aspirations of the entrepreneurs, and to ensure the deliverables from the institutions and the promotional agencies. Promotion of applied scientific and technological research, facilitating technology development through effective industry institute collaboration, providing technology related business & information service (national & international), facilitating transfer of technologies from Indian and overseas institutions or industries to interested companies, providing support services for continual technology up-gradation and innovation, networking of research and development & academic institutions, public and private agencies, freelance experts etc, helping industry in human resource development and up-gradation, providing various services connected with intellectual property right (IPRs) and other legal aspects, providing knowledge based scientific, technological & managerial inputs, establishing testing, calibration and other related facilities in the long run, helping market promotion, market development and market information, setting up incubation centres.

FAPSIA works to promote and to protect the common interest, growth, development and welfare of the MSME sector in Andhra Pradesh.

FAPSIA was nominated as a member in more than 20 Central and State government committees such as the following

  • State Level Committee for Scrutiny of Industrial Incentives
  • State Level Sanction Committee for Industrial Incentives
  • A.P. Small Industries Facilitation Council
  • A.P. Land Alienation Sub-Committee for Industries
  • Central Institute of Tool Designing
  • AP Labor Welfare Board.

Different welfare schemes and economic factors are also troubling the entrepreneurs to get the quality manpower required for operations.

As a newly formed state, the industrialization, skilled man-power and technical expertise are limited with us. Nevertheless, the resources are high. Another advantage to the state of Andhra Pradesh is the long coast, if around 1000 KM.

With the above facts, FAPSIA strives to develop the MSME sector in the state which can in turn support the state and national economy at large.
